Call for Papers and Special Interest Sessions is now closed.

Expert peer review of all papers and Special Interest Session proposals concluded April 18 and all organizers and authors have been notified of their status. See Key Dates below for deadlines and steps required for accepted organizers and authors. Thank you to everyone who participated.

NOTE: The International Program Committee (IPC) reserves the right to assign Special Interest Session speakers at its discretion if/when deadlines are not met. If necessary, please inform us of any changes on your proposal confirmed session as they occur.

Registration of Paper and Special Interest Session Speakers and Moderators

All speakers and moderators must register at the speaker fee for the World Congress. Registration is required for all attendees prior to reserving official World Congress hotel accommodations and before taking advantage of discounted travel rates from Air Canada, Delta and United.​

Presentation Portal and World Congress Presentation

Guidelines on preparing your PowerPoint presentation for the 2017 ITS World Congress will be sent in early September to all speakers and moderators. The organizer/moderator of your session will be in contact with you closer to the event to organize final presentation details.

Presentation Uploading

Guidelines on preparing your PowerPoint presentation for the Congress will be sent to speakers and moderators in early September. A new link to upload your presentation will be sent to speakers, moderators and organizers on October 9 when the presentation management system opens. Presentations should be uploaded by October 23 so that moderators can review them. The moderator of your session will be in contact with you closer to the Congress, to organize final presentation details.

Speaker Consent to Publish Materials

The IPC has decided that the visual presentations used by the Special Interest Session speakers will be made available to the participants of the World Congress. In accordance with the World Congress Guidelines, by accepting to speak at a Special Interest Session, speakers agree to the on-line publishing of their presentation. Use of these materials is intended solely for ITS development and deployment and not for any personal or commercial gain.

Final Paper Submission, Publication and Presenter Consent

In order to present at the 2017 World Congress, presenters must submit a final paper [12 (8.5” x 11”) pages for scientific papers and 8 (8.5” x 11”) pages for technical papers] in PDF format by midnight EDT on Friday, August 25, 2017. Using your previously established login credentials, download the official paper template and submit your final paper at All papers must comply with the Final Paper Template and be submitted via the online Presenter’s portal.
